Week 2:
Groceries: $51.03 (25 items)
I went over my $40 goal for groceries this week, but I didn't go to any other stores, so it should all even out at the end of the month (I hope!). The biggest purchase was the dry milk, which was $13.59 even on sale (ouch!). I use this to make our homemade hot chocolate mix, which Ted puts in his coffee every morning (cuts down on the Starbucks!) This size dry milk will make 6-7 batches, and each batch lasts him a month or two since he only uses a scoop at a time, so at least I won't have to buy it again for awhile!
Some good buys this week:
- McCain Smile Frozen Potatoes, FREE after $1 doubled coupon (June All You)
- 2-3 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese, FREE after $1 doubled coupon here
- Muir Glen diced tomatoes, better than FREE after $1 doubled coupon
- Fiber One yogurt, FREE after $1 doubled coupon
- SunChips, $1 after doubled coupon (April All You)
- 2-8-pks of Juicy Juice, $0.95 each after doubled coupon
- 4 Kellogg's Mini-Wheats, $0.50 per box after $1 doubled coupons
Total spending from Week 1 and Week 2: $106.85

Make Ted buy the powdered milk...
I don't know how you work your accounts, if you have separate; I know it all goes to the same place, but call it an accounting trick and it will work out okay...
Hope all is well with you guys (it seems to be going good, based on your posts)
HA! No, we have the same account. It all comes from the same place and goes to the same place, so it doesn't make much difference. I figure I only have to buy it about twice a year, so we can work that into the budget! :-)
