Playing (and Winning) Sweeps

It's fun to play some sweeps. . . and win! I've won all sorts of free product coupons and gift cards in the past 15 months or so. My biggest win was a $1000 Home Depot gift card! I don't play every day, but if I have an extra five minutes I go to Freebies4Mom's sweeps page and try to enter a few of my favorite sweeps. These are the sweeps I am playing right now:

• Cheerios--Receive $4 in coupons for signing up, and play every day to win a free box of cereal by mail. Over 50,000 boxes will be given away.
  
• Pace--Win a free jar of salsa or picante sauce ($4 off coupon by mail). I've won several of these. Get a free code to play by clicking right under the code box.
• MyCoke--Win a $20 gift card or other prizes. I won 2 gift cards last year. Get 2 free entries per day by clicking on "official rules" by "chk undr cap". Scroll down 3 times to the red "click here" under #5.

I use a different email address for entering my sweeps (not that I get a lot of spam, but just in case). I also heard some good advice about not entering sweeps you can't afford to win. Any big wins will be reported to the IRS, and you have to pay taxes on them, which means money out of pocket unless the prize was cash. So if you win a dream home in AZ or a trip to Europe, make sure you have enough cash on hand to be able to pay the taxes on those big wins. To be safe, I just don't enter the big sweeps. Dairy Coupons

If you live in or near California, or your state carries California dairy products, you can print coupons for savings on Real California dairy and cheese products. After the cute cows, click on the orange "continue to homepage" on the right, then "People" on the left, then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the coupons.

Don't forget to enter every day to win free milk for a year on the Great Gallon Give! This would save our family SO much money with all the milk we go through! After you enter, you can print a coupon for a free gallon of milk with a $100 purchase.

Remember to enter for free Yoplait Fiber One coupons on Thursday and Friday this week at 9am on The Suburban Jungle and 3pm on Freebies 4 Mom. If you are one of the first 50 people to fill out the form, Yoplait will mail you a free yogurt coupon. If you are too late to get a free coupon, it will tell you that you can print off a $1/1 coupon. Our family loves this yogurt and goes through it quickly, so I love it when I can get it for free! If you get some coupons you don't want, feel free to send them my way and I promise to put them to good use! ;-)

Free Milk Coupon--HURRY!

Winnable Sweeps--I'm a Winner!

I've been a winner in several sweeps in the past year, and you can be too! I think I've won about $200 worth of gift cards and free product coupons in the past year from Nabisco, Wendy's, Coke, Kohl's, Subway, Kraft, Pace, Dole, Little Debbie, and more. But that's not all. . .I just won a $1000 Home Depot gift card from the Wendy's Home Makeover sweeps!! It's the first time I've ever won anything big enough to have to overnight a notarized affidavit to confirm my eligibility. I was nervous that my letter wouldn't make it in time or I'd be disqualified for some reason or another, but it's been approved and will hopefully show up soon. :-)

Playin' the Sweeps!

Have you been playing the sweeps? I have! And I won more prizes! The $25 Coke cash card I won at the end of March arrived last week, and then this week I won a free month's supply of Dole Fruit Gels (awarded as 4 coupons) and another $20 Coke cash card!

Freebies4Mom lists the best sweeps to play here. If you only have time to enter one sweeps a day, I highly recommend the Coke sweeps because there is a potential winner every 5 minutes and you can play each game twice a day, for a total of 4 entries! Sweeties Sweeps has a great video walking you through how to play both Coke games for free. I hope you win--and you probably will if you play more than once! If you have questions, let me know!

Sweeps--You Can Win!

I have to let you guys in on a "not-so-secret". There are sweepstakes that YOU can win! Heather at Freebies 4 Mom has the most winnable sweeps listed on her sweeps page. I've bookmarked her sweeps page and take about 5 minutes a day (most days) to enter a few sweeps. I don't enter all of them, because some require a few more hoops to jump through, but several only take a minute to enter each day, and you CAN win! I usually choose about five to play at any given time.

By playing a few sweeps a day, I have won some things! It's so fun! I've won many small bags of chips from Subway, some free salsa from Pace, coupons for free products from Kraft, a $20 gift card from Coke, and a $50 gift card from Nabisco! (I've been using this to lower my OOP at CVS) No, I don't win something from all the sweeps, but I've won enough that it feels worth 5 minutes of my time.

Most of these sweeps require some sort of code from a product, but Sweeties Sweeps looks into the official rules for us and finds us free codes to use to enter (totally legit, since the sweeps say "no purchase necessary"). Heather gets this info from Sweeties Sweeps and then posts them in a list format that makes it easier to click and enter. You might think since you are using "free codes" that you wouldn't be likely to win, but I obviously have, and so have lots of others!

I do suggest setting up a separate email account to use for your sweep entries, so you don't fill your email with spam or "thanks for entering" emails. You will need access to this account, though, since your winning info is frequently sent there. I set up a free account at mail.com, or you could also use gmail or yahoo or others.
