Weekly Groceries--Under $49

I did something uncharacteristic this week and went to four different stores. I usually only go to Roundy's each week and sometimes hit Aldi, but this week one of my local grocery stores had several things on sale for $1, including a gallon of milk! Considering how much milk our family goes through in a week, and that milk prices seem to have risen again, and that F had run out of her milk, I decided to go for it. I spent $9.15 at that store.

Then I went to Walmart to use the $2/1 Land O'Frost coupons that were expiring and also got Borden cheese for $0.88 after coupon. Next was Aldi to get more milk and tortellini--a treat! My total for Walmart and Aldi was $13.53.

Last, Roundy's for double coupon day. I scraped together 2 transactions, doubled only 8 coupons and spent $26. The highlights were Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake x2 for $0.35 each (!!!), Blue Bunny ice cream x2 for $1 each, McCain potatoes for $0.50, No Yolks noodles for $0.39, Thomas bagels x2 for $0.99 each, and apple juice for $0.99. I also got 2 more gallons of milk, bananas, strawberries, grapes, lettuce, broccoli, and lasagna x2.

My overall total this week was $48.68.
What deals did you find this week?

I just had to share with someone: Spent 33.00 Saved 98.00!!!!! WOW! Great deals on yogurt with store sales and double coupons. Good thing we love yogurt! Awesome deals on frozen pepridg farm desserts( buy ine get one free) and Sara Lee desserts( buy one get one free PLUS had 2 doubled coupns) I bought that for our Easter desserts with the extended family... plus the blue bunny icecream with in store sale and coupon.... that bill came to 7.00 and would have been close to 30.00!!
I also had a ton of yoplait coupns plus their in store deals. One of those bills would have been28.00 but I spent 3.90 on like 30 yogurts ( we eat about 8 aday or so- it's a good deal, for us anyway...)
Just had to share the good deals...

Hey Jessica!
Thought I would let you know: today I couponed.

At first, I told myself that I did not have time for all of that, but then it dawned on me...I was just plain scared. of what? I do not know, but when I told myself I could do this, there was nothing stopping me.

I clipped some coupons out of the paper, and mostly printed some from the two websites. I thought I would take it easy on myself and do only one transaction., But my goal was to at least have 5 $1 coupons doubled, which I did. Plus, alot of stuff that I had extra coupons for was also on sale at Roundy's. Then I went to Target and bought many "2-coupon" items.

And yes, it was a little fun. It took me a long time though because I didn't know what to expect for prices and I mixed food and non-food. But eventually, I ended up spending $25 on food, $20 on non-food and saved $31.00. At Target, I saved $13.

So in the end, thank you so much for all your hard work you do to communicate these savings to all. Thank you for making it easy!!
May you truly be blessed for sharing your riches and spiritual gifts!
