I had some fun getting some good deals at Target and Walgreens! I don't go to either place very often, but these deals were all over the "shopping blogs", so I decided to take F and give them a try!
First, Target. I scoured the web for Kashi cereal coupons (see below) and was able to print out enough to try for the Kashi deal, buy 5, get a $5 gift card. I bought 5 boxes of cereal, 2 Crystal Light to go packs, 1 Johnson's Buddies Soap, and 1 Tide travel pack. After the gift card and price-matching with the Walgreens ad (they had Kashi cereal on sale for $2.50), I paid only $0.12 for all of that, meaning they were all free except for tax!
Try some of these links for Kashi coupons if you would like to try this deal: $1.50/1 coupons here (IE) or here (FF) or here (or $1/2 Trail Mix Bars coupon here or use $1/1 GoLean Crunch here), and $1.50/1 Kashi Honey Sunshine coupon here. Remember you can print each coupon twice. Thanks, Money Saving Mom!
It's new that Target is now price-matching other current ads, and this was the first time I tried it. You pay for the items and then take your receipt and complete current ad up to customer service for a refund of the difference. I was thankful F was in a good mood, because it took 2 cashiers awhile to figure out how to give me a refund. I'm sure they will get better with time.
It gets better. Next up, Walgreens. I was fully expecting them to be out of the items I wanted, since this store usually is wiped out of the deals. But I decided to give it a try anyway, and I'm glad I did! In 3 transactions I got a bag of True North Clusters (they only had 1), 6 packs of One a Day drinkable vitamins, and an air freshener (I needed a filler to use an RR). I paid $6.17 OOP and now have $10 in RRs to use within the next 2 weeks. Here's hoping for some good deals next week!
The True North Clusters were a $1 moneymaker after RR and this $1/1 printable coupon. The One a Day mixes were a moneymaker because if you buy 3 One a Day products, you get a $5 RR. The deal was working on the 2 packs that were only $0.99 each, so I did it twice!
Good luck finding some deals this week! :-)
